Stacy Chamberlain joined Oregon AFSCME Council 75 as a council representative in 2005. Stacy currently serves as the Executive Director, prior to this appointment she served the Council as Collective Bargaining Director and Associate Director. In 2016 the delegates at the International Convention elected Stacy as an International Vice President.
Prior to her work with AFSCME, Stacy worked as a legislative aide to a State Senator in the Oregon Legislature. Before graduating Law School from Willamette University, Stacy clerked at the United States Attorney's Office. She later worked as an associate at a labor law firm in Portland and was a senior policy advisor to a former Portland City Commissioner Randy Leonard.
A Portland native, she brings with her a deep knowledge of labor and politics in Oregon. In May of 2013, Stacy currently serves on the Oregon AFL-CIO Executive Board as well as the board of OHSU.
Micaela began working as a Council Representative in June 2016. She brings with her a rich history of organizing and advocating for social, economic, and racial justice. Prior to joining Oregon AFSCME, she was working for the Oregon Food Bank as a Food Justice Organizer in Clackamas County. Before moving to Oregon in 2014, Micaela was the Organizing Director at the Coalition for Economic Justice/Jobs with Justice in Buffalo, NY. There she worked closely with unions, community organizations, and faith institutions for over 8 years. Micaela is a native of New Jersey but has made Portland her home.

Corey Hope Nicholson
Corey Hope Nicholson has been the AFSCME Strong Program Manager since October 2015. Nicholson worked for almost a decade for 1199 SEIU running campaigns to organize over 5,000 new workers into the union. Prior to that, she was the Program Director of the North Shore (Mass.) Labor Council, AFL-CIO. She also served as the board co-chair of the New England Jewish Labor Committee, on the board of the Women’s Institute for Leadership Development, and as a regular trainer and mentor to young organizers with the Jewish Organizing Initiative Network. A native of Denver, Nicholson lives in Portland with her husband, Zev Nicholson and their young son General.

Eben joined the staff of Council 75 in 2013 and his current assignment includes Local 88 at Multnomah County and Local 1569 at the City of Newberg. Prior to joining the staff at AFSCME, he worked for affiliates of the American Federation of Teachers and Service Employees International Union for fourteen years organizing new workers into unions, bargaining contracts and supporting local unions to advance their mission to improve the lives of their members. Eben and his wife Amanda have two boys and live in NE Portland.

A native Pennsylvanian, Vehafric came to Oregon AFSCME in 1992. After a brief stay in Portland, he spent six years staffing the Ontario field office before returning to Willamette Valley assignments. Vehafric has two undergraduate and a Master’s Degree from Penn State. His father was a union Steelworker, and Vehafric was chief steward of his Corrections local in Pennsylvania before moving west. He worked as a labor consultant for a Portland law firm before coming to AFSCME. Vehafric enjoys backpacking, writing and fly-fishing away from the office. Vehafric and his wife, Emily, live in Sherwood. They have two adult children.
Rob Wheaton began his Council Representative position in the union’s Portland office in 2007. Wheaton came to Council 75 following three years as a field representative for Laborers Local 483 in Portland; AFSCME and the Laborers share some crossover jurisdictions at both the City of Portland and Metro. Born in Arizona, Wheaton graduated high school in Las Vegas and has been in Oregon since 1993. Away from work, Wheaton likes to spend time “on the river” — specifically kayaking, rafting and fishing. He lives in SE Portland.
