Oregon AFSCME Endorsements

Following is a list of endorsements approved by the Council 75 Executive Board for the May 20 Oregon Primary Election.

Oregon AFSCME's endorsement process is as follows: candidates are mailed a questionnaire, which they are required to fill out and return if they are to be considered for endorsement. Next, a series of regional interviews are conducted by Oregon AFSCME political staff, Council 75 Political Action Committee members and other interested members. Those groups make endorsement recommendations to the full Oregon AFSCME PAC, which formulates the final proposed endorsement list that is ultimately voted on by the statewide Executive Board.

The PAC and the Executive Board will release a second, updated endorsement list following the May 20 primary. Any questions regarding this process should be directed to Oregon AFSCME Political Coordinator Janice O'Malley, who is the staff liaison to the Council 75 PAC. She can be contacted by phone at (503) 239-9858 or (800) 792-0045.
